Shapes and forms convey specific meanings that become part of our subconscious understanding of the visual world.
Our proposals are always driven by a concept that combines all the planning constrains with the use of shapes and forms that the engaged present and future generations recognize, can feel comfortable with and adopt as their own. We always design from the roots upwards creating novel forms.
Our desire is to generate a sense of belonging to a community allowing for a simple emotional seed to grow for an instant, for a season or even forever.
Our sustainable approach
All our projects are designed to embody sustainability principles, including economic viability, environmental benefits and social equity. They reflect the contemporary urban environment that is becoming adaptive and resilient to the dynamic and changing of climate, seasons and uses.
Our integrative design process that responds through the project to remain functional, energy efficient, relevant and viable, incorporates into at all levels, from the building to public spaces, to the community at large, also biophilic design elements, that encourage the instinctive bond humans /nature and have implicit economic benefits, and active design principals that connect building occupants with health and inclusive wellness activities.
We strongly believe in team work considering each project not only as a design challenge but also as an opportunity for sharing, listening and debating ideas.
From the outset, our method of working is grounded in the formation of a collaborative relationship with the client and the full creative team involved in the project, developing both small and large projects with equal passion and putting values that go beyond the use of solar panels, heat pumps and green roofs.
Our design process is part of a strategy to encourage a collective responsibility for the environment.
Successful projects in terms of achieving client’s objectives on time, within budget and as specified is the first priority of any design firm. These deliverables could not be accomplished by individuals working alone, rather by effective, coordinated and committed teams.
For this reason we thank all our architects, assistants, interns, designer and consultants for their invaluable contribution in all our projects throughout the years.
Special thanks are due to Dave Cairney, Andrea Battaglia, Rita Dametto and Daniela Ziglioli who have contributed to turn most of the ideas into reality.
